Charleston is regulation length 9-hole course. From the longest tees it measures 3,005 yards and plays to a par of 35. The course was designed by and opened in 1939. Additional tee locations allow for a double loop 18-hole round.

Charleston is a private equity facility golf course with a 'Accompanied By Member' guest policy. Thes course has wide fairways. During the winter, the ditches that come into play on six holes fill with water. There are some sand bunkers on the course. Some of the greens are elevated because they were built on top of Indian burial mounds.
